Gas is running out of a little spout on a black plastic box behind the carburator on my kenawa 8000 generator, what is causing it and what do I need to fix it?

Many of these types of engines have a return line to the gas tank. Look for another "spout" on the gas tank and try to locate a small piece of gas line. All my weed wackers and blowers have return lines from the carb.
