My wife and I have recently acquired a home with a small rental house on the property. The small house has an existing shower with a concrete floor that looks as if it might have been painted at one time. It has what appears to be a brass or cast iron drain at the low point of the floor. We would like to apply some sort of coating to seal the floor from water intrusion so that it drys more quickly after a shower.

If you know of an epoxy or other coating that has worked well for this purpose please let us know the specific material and even a link to a source if you know one.

We're located in Hawaii and that sometimes complicates things.

Interestingly their web site does not show the price of the material. Every time that has happened to me in the past the price ended up being way more than I had ever expected or thought reasonable. It also looks as if they only deal direct. ]]

It would be really nice if there was a product that the "Big box stores" carried that would be appropriate.

If you don't wish to use Non-Slip Waterproof Epoxy made for concrete floors you could always tile over the cement. But I still think Epoxy is your best bet, Tom
