Hello,
My ex lives in Utah and her 15 year old son got into some trouble and has community service. He was out past curfew and tried to steal a pair of shoes, he didn't make it out of the store. He has done about half of his community service. She wants to move back to California with me so we can give it another shot but the state of Utah is not releasing him to move. What can we do about this and how should we go about it. This has been dragging on and is very frustrating.

Wait until he's finished his community service and is free to move. Or move to Utah.

He can only do community service on the week-end. It will take him months to finish. I have a great job and a three bedroom house here in California!
