    What are you looking to do? There is nothing inherently illegal about AL wire.

    There is no "requirement". Just make sure any replacement outlet or switch is marked COALR and take any oxidation off the wire before connecting. Do not back wire aluminum wire. Note that the SER is and has been Aluminum for many years.
