I own a corporation that holds mineral rights in Alberta. In October 2001 the Alberta EUB shut my oil & gas production down and abandoned the wells through the Orphan Well Association. They had not contacted us again until October 4, 2012 demanding the Corporation pay outstanding debts for the abandonment and remediation costs. This is eleven years after the assumed the wells and batteries.
These invoices vary in dates from 2002 to 2011.
Is there a time line I should be looking at that would absolve the corporation of these debts.
