Did some one tell you the meat was infected with e coli? Normally beef tartare would be okay aside from the tainted meat scandal in western Canada.
If you did ingest tainted meat you would be very very sick by now, loose stools, vomitting, sweating, trouble breathing. It is almost instantaneous.
No, I don't have any sickness, but toxoplasmosis can be transferred without any symptoms. Plus the chef said he didn't freeze the meat, meaning it had no chance of killing this harmful for the baby bacteria. And he said the sauce was made of pasteurised eggs.
I am worried sick. Cannot sleep.
Chances, virtually ZERO, otherwise the health department would be swiftly knocking at their door.
While it is commendable to minimise risk, overly stressing about minor nuances will not help you at all..
