Where's my Garage door learn light?
My husband and I bought a house with a garage door opener already installed, and a wall mounted opener, but no remote openers. I am trying to program the remotes that we just purchased, but can not locate the learn light on the garage opener. We have a chamberlain model number G5467NC. It is not under the lighting hood as most forums suggest, and the house is older so I am assuming it the garage door opener may be too old to have a light and therefore be able to have a remote. Does anyone know anything about all this? Thank you!

Learn button perhaps? Usually located near the antenna and power connections. Push button is usually marked.

What year where learn buttons installed? I think perhaps my model is older and doesn't have a learn button as I have looked everywhere on my garage door opener and even taken the lighting hoods off...

Do you have the electric eyes along the floor level? No smart button without them. If you have an older model, you may need to find a brand specific remote.

I do have the electric eyes, and the remote is the same brand. Just can't seem to find the learn button! :(

The last 2 I worked on had the button on the back of the unit near the connections from the wall switch. I just programmed them and they were older. Stand behind the opener and press the learn button on the remote. See anything light up or click?

Nothing happened... I took 2 photos of my garage door opener because I thought that might be helpful!

You should talk to Chamberlain Support Center directly or at least down load a manual for your opener. I have two Chmaberlains and the manuals were excellent help installing and programming. Finding the button is only half the battle when programming a Chamberlain, everything must be perfectly sequenced

Thanks for the input! I did contact them and my opener was made before 1993, so doesn't have a learn button. :( Oh well!

Check for an antenna(short wire going nowhere, maybe 6"). This should have dip switches.
It is possible it doesn't have a receiver, in which case a 3 or 4 wire receiver can be added with remotes.
Look at or near the wall mounted push button terminals at the operator terminals.

    Here are some options:

    garage door receiver | eBay

If you bought transmitters already, just buy a compatible receiver.
