Purchased a car, received financing. Dealership called police after they were paid in full by the finance company. I was charged with Felony Theft over $38,000.00 and Unauthorized Removal Of Property. Finance company advised me that loan was paid in full on date I purchased car, and that four days after my release on bond, seller paid off the loan I had with the finance company. Are there any legal recourses for this type of blatant disregard for the law?
