I got a felony dwi and pled guilty because even though I was not driving, I couldn't risk losing in trial and leaving my children for year in prison. Is there any way for me to be able to work as a certified nursing assistant? I had surgery and then my employer would not hire me back. Is there anything I can do? I need to support my children and no one will hire me in any field. I have A CNA certificate and CPR/ aed, an Associate in science and a bachelors in business management but no one will hire me. 500+ application in the last 6 month and even McDonald's won't hire me, I am hitting a brick wall and feeling hopeless. Please help.

You are pretty well qualified and quite frankly, you have to put this behind you and get on with your life. How do you go into a job interview? Just about convinced you won't be hired because of your record? I know you have to present or have a background check done for any job in your field, but sure there is somewhere you can work.

McDonalds hire people who are on bail for worst crimes. So it is not this, it must be presentation or how you approach them.

Yes a felony will keep you out of a lot of areas,

Not sure why you plead guilty if you were not, unless you were sitting in a car drunk and or near car drunk with keys in hand ( some states have and allow those for convictions)

Sounds like you needed a better attorney, for this to be a felony, unless this was not your first conviction on this

I do go in positive and happy, outgoing, I have an education. Just everyone knows me and I can't get a job anywhere but locally because I can't drive. I took the plea because if I lost my children would have no where to go and would be effect tithe rest of their lives.
