A19 light bulb in A15/R16 Fixture
The light fixture in my kitchen states "Max 60W type A15 or R16 HC". A standard 60W A19 incandescent bulb fits in the fixture. I understand the difference is the diameter of the bulb.

I'm wondering if it is safe to use the A19 in this fixture seeing that it does not exceed the maximum wattage rating?

    Thanks

The fixture was tested and listed by UL with the A15 lamp. Could be the wall of the lamp is too close to the reflector may capture heat. In any case, the A19 lamp should not be in the fixture.
