Cops not allowed to search house of friend of parolee
Cops came to my friends house for my car blocking the roadway. He came to the door to ask me to move the car. He found out I was on parole and came inside the home to search . I told him I stayed there but didn't live there, my residence was in san diego. Did they have a right to search my room I was staying in?

Did the owner or tenant (your friend) let them in, and did that person let them search the room? Did they ask? Did they give any indication that they smelled or saw anything?

If the PO gave them verbal permission, they may search any place you live.

If you are "staying there" you live there right now. This staying may also be a issue with your PO.

Also did you say, no you can't search ? If they said, we are going to search, that means MAY WE SEARCH, if you don't say anything, that means yes you can
