    Mean girls
    I'm in 8th grade and my first period class is EAST which I love! EAST is where you do different projects that you choose to do for the community or the school like yearbook or dig for the cure. Well I'm doing the east night out music and me and my friend is doing that now. This other girl that I've known for awhile that I know but don't really talk to that much but is bestfriends with my friend that is Doing the music with me didn't have a project to do. So 2 weeks into mine she came to help us. Which is fine of course! But they just want to eat snacks in class and talk and not work on project that has a due date. I'm the one who is like we really need to work on this. And they won't let me touch the computer or sit in front of it so I usually sit behind them and sit there while they don't do anything! If I touch the mouse they will move my hand away and if I scoot closer to computer or even just next to it my friend will get up and move me far away and sometimes across to the other side of room:/ the thing is is that none of this happened when it was just me and my friend. It started when the other girl came over with us. It's due tomorrow ( Monday) and Friday they were like we are half way done and have like 1 day left so they went to teacher and asked if thy could come 8th period to work on it. I went to ask with them because I thought it was all 3 of us but they only asked for them 2 and he said only y'all 2?? And I was like what about me?? And they said no! You kept leaving us so go away! And I said I only left once to take pics for yearbook and y'all left me 3 times just to go talk to your grandma in high school! And so 8th period they left to work on OUR project without me... What should I do

    You need to talk to your teacher since this is a group project and it can affect your grade. Hopefully, the teacher has been watching you guys in class. Talking to your teacher will help him understand that you are involved in the project and explain why you had to leave for yearbook. Remember, you are making sure you get credit for working on the project, not tattling on your friends.

    It doesn't affect my grade unless I don't write in the book that I'm doing a project and I do write it in and he is the one that allowed me to leave that one time so he knows

    I agree, and welcome to real life, there will be those students and latter workers who do not want to do anything, they don't care about grades and may even think it is funny to see you fail.

    Well you need to confront them and tell them that if they won't work then they need a different partner
