What would you do for resp failure
My 2 year old son has had an increased work of breath for the last week et a half. HR 170 RR>50 SpO2 94 with 4 et 5 liters of O2. He turned blue yesterday and had to be intibated and flown to the hospital. They extibated him after 2hr, he is acting exactly like he was before they intibated him. Abdomially breathing, nasal flaring, retracting. He is having to be antisuctioned frequently, right now he is on 1 et 1/2 liters of O2 and his sats are HR 145 and > RR 32 > SpO2 94 <
His lungs sound extremely junky, and I feel that he needed to be intabted just a little bit longer, he needed more time to recover et heal. What would you do?

They won't listen to me. I thought this was like a website to where you ask a doctor and they tell you..

Did you ask the doctor who is in charge of your child? Can you call in another doctor for a consultation?
