Want to organise a customer event for top customers and their wives. Should be a lovely evening and I do want to put it under the moto: a different perspective for a bigger picture.

Any idea what could be a special event around that? Was thinking of maybe going to an observatory and have a lovely dinner after that.

Any other thoughts? Thank you for your help

Whatever you do should take into account the “DNA” of the group. By that I mean who they are, what their interests are and what they might like to do. For example, a trip to an observatory followed by dinner afterwards may or may not be what they want to do. If it is not, it will not matter how well you plan the event because it will not work.

Your choices are two. One, plan something predictable and safe, something that you know will be in their sphere of experience, or two, take a less secure position and create an event few would have thought of. The first requires that you know their interests and that they are fairly similar. If they are not similar and/or you want to shake things up somewhat, you need to go with number two. In this case the trick is to plan something few would have thought of but most will enjoy. That’s a tall order but when it works its works spectacularly.

None of us who read your post can help you with that because we don’t know the specifics of your situation (your location, the make-up of your group, their numbers, likes/dislikes, etc.) I will say that I prefer the more creative approach with a “safety net” of having it well planned. It may not work but when it does.. .
