So here is my problem, I studied hairstyling and I loved it and I finished in 2010 and have been doing hair since, but I have come to realize that I want to go back to school, and I want to do social work. However my marks in high school were just god awful and I am 21 years old now and I really want to go to university in Toronto, and I tried searching online for more information to see if there is any way to get in without going back to high school but I really can't seem to find any information, someone please, please help me! All I want to do is go back to school and live in toronto.

Contact the University you want to attend and ask what their admission requirements are. They should be listed online, but you can always make an appt. with their admissions office.

Did you graduate High School or not, If you graduated high school, you can not "go back" so you have bad grades, you apply and see if they will let you in, if not, you go to a smaller school, for a year, or even two years, get all the basic classes, get good grades, then transfer.

I agree about being accepted into and attending a small college (community or junior college?). There you can take all the basic courses you will need for a social workers degree. A small college will have small classes and lots of possibilities for tutoring and extra help, so you can work toward good grades and learning all you will need to know. And consider this -- a bachelor's degree will get you only so far. A master's is much more desirable in social work. Also, a small college will have certificates available for non-degreed courses of study in areas related to social work. To summarize: you can't lose by going to a small college. Later, transfer to a larger one, if necessary.
