I have a Kenmore dishwasher model 665.15772 and it has been working fine. When I went to start it last night I noticed that the normal wash light is on and the no-heat dry and lock lights are alternating being on. It won't start. I looked inside and noticed a napkin (wet) was draped over the wash arm. (Don't tell my husband.) I don't know if this would make a difference or not anyway. This dishwasher is 13 years old but it has been working great. When looking up a possible cause online I came to this site and saw a few posts. The solution had to do with alternately pushing some buttons to reset it. My buttons are different so I wasn't able to do the same thing. My buttons are as follows: Pots/Pans, Normal Wash, Water Miser, China Wash, Quick Rinse, - Water Heat, No-Heat Dry, - Delay Hours, Start, Cancel/Drain. I know this dishwasher is old but I hate to replace it for an electrical malfunction. Thanks.

The first thing I would do is to flip the circuit breaker that feeds the dishwasher. Leave it off for 15-30 seconds, then flip it back on. See if that resets the dishwasher.

The other cause I can think of is that your control board needs to be replaced. This is probably a $200-$300 fix, unfortunately.

They may show you what to do. Check the filter and float. The float can stick in up position and stop it.
