I have a 2012 Honda Civic LX 1.8 bought at city auction 'as is' all the front of the car was crashed, all body and visual damaged parts were replaced, car takes off in first gear and as you gained speed goes in neutral, no wiring diaphgram or scan tool available.

Is the Check Engine Light on (bad VSS)? Did you check the transmission fluid level? Check all under dash and under hood fuses with a test light or multimeter.

You really need to check it out with an advanced scan tool, including being able to read any pending codes.
