I am looking at buying a house and found one I really like how ever the new lino in the kitchen is lifting and has large bubbles, my wife thinks it smells mouldy. Are these signs of flooding in the kitchen? Possibly a leak?

Both of these are possible causes.

Can u inspect the beams from the bottom? If there is a leak or was a leak it will show on the beams as a stain.

It could also be caused by a bad installation.
