I'm working away from home at this time. My wife called me the disposal is draining a lot of water. I just had the dishwasher removed is there something that might have been connected to the disposal?

Yes! You must cap off the hole the DW discharged into. Otherwise every time your wife drains the sink it will flood the cabinet.
