If I apply for SNAP in Florida, is my daughter's school notified?
The application ask for your child's school. Because everything is public record, I am afraid they will be notified and anyone else can find out if I am receiving temporary help. I am worried about her school, the principal is not a nice man and will use this information against her.

Let me see most likely 1/2 of more of the students are on a SNAP program. So there is nothing to use against her. Your fears are not justified. There are school lunch programs and others the child may qualifty for.

I am not aware that they notify the school, but will tell you what programs the child can have free or discount at the school.

When my son was young, they thought he was strange since he was the ONLY child in his class not getting the free lunch.
