Kenmore 6651703 Ultra Dishwasher. Clean light flashing, diswasher malfunctioned. Sears serviceman tested water temp at 84 deg. Need specific reason from Kenmore trouble shooting as to cause of failure in writing.

It sounds like you have an open heater element, but test it, first, before just replacing it. Also, the incoming water temp could be too cool. The manuals above are mostly for Whirlpool, but if you look carefully you should see one close to yours and the wiring is usually identical.
