    Family debt
My mother agreed to be a guarantor for her son and his partner because they promised to pay it back yet nothing was signed and her son and his partner are now not paying and she is having to pay and she is getting very stressed and worred. Is there any way she can get out of being a guarator as she hasn't signed anything?

No, since she signed as guarantor she is responsible for the debt. She can however, sue them for what she has to pay.

She should consult a solicitor to determine her options.

I may have misread this. I assumed she signed as a guarantor but did not sign any agreement for them to repay. If she didn't sign anything then there is no reason for her to pay anything.

So you really need to clarify since your post doesn't make sense.
