    Combination Switch and Outlet
Made my pigtails. But broke off fin. Think I made a mistake.
Switch on lights come on. Switch off fan comes on. But not together.
Should have left the fin intact. Guess I will have to buy another switch combo?

You can make a jumper out of the same gauge wire you are running. There are usually 4 screws. Do not put more than 1 wire under a screw. You can also back wire a jumper if outlet is so equipped.

I have black hot wires top and bottom screws on one side
On the other I have two white wires top and bottom screws on one side.

So are you saying I should jump one wire from the top hot screw to the bottom hot screw.
And do the same on the white wire side? And that will remedy my mistake in removing
    The fin?

Fin should only be removed from the hot side, neutral stays.

Thanks. I only remove 1 fin. Forgot which side. I guess it must have been the hot side.

    Don't buy another switch yet.
The small slot is the hot and the large slot is the neutral.
A couple of ways to wire, do you want to switch this outlet or another outlet? Either way DON't hook a whith/neutral to the other side of the switch or it will trip breaker or burn out the switch.

Only problem when you switch on the bathroom, the lights come on great.
But when you switch off the lights and something is plug into the outlet on the bottom
Etc fan electric shaver is get power. Removing the I fin I stopped the energizing process to the outlet below the switch. When the switch is engaged

For the Bathroom it needs to be GFI, you can install one of these:
Leviton White 15 Amp SmartLockPro Combination GFCI & Switch - C22-T7299-0PW

Or carefully cut so you can remove the single gang mudring, and install a 2 gang mudring. Then a Single pole switch and a regular GFI.
Does the light still work when nothing is plugged into the outlet?

Yes it is okay. The wife changed her mind. And put an outlet in a different place.
Works okay. Will bring back the combination outlet switch. Thanks for the advice
