Hi Dr Bill. Recently I sought voluntary tx for my escalating ETOH use. I was coerced into signing an IPN contract. I was naïve and had no idea what EtG/EtS testing entailed. While was at an inpt rehab facility, I tested pos with an EtS level of 40. I had been allowed to bring in all of my personal products, including hairspray, perfumes, and Sinex.

My question is this: do you have any experience with IPN or PRN monitoring agencies, and the thresholds they use for their lab values? I am seriously considering giving up my career of an RN after 18 yrs, because I'm so daunted by the prospect of such Draconian monitoring. I live in Florida, if thats's relevant.
