Assuming your pup is quite young, and in that case the only safe alternative is a vet visit if you want to keep her safe. We can't diagnose over the internet, Diana, very difficult to do, but if it is runny stools and vomitting, then it can be serious.

Find a vet, she needs a check over and you have to find out about her vaccinations. Vaccinations for young dogs is something you can't avoid.

How old are you Diana ?

I'm trying not to assume here, so forgive me, but I'm guessing that your pup has had no vaccines.
The first concern with a pup that is vomiting having diarrhea and is "down" is parvo.
You need to find a way to get her to the vet and get her checked out.
Of course it cold be other things, but given the prevalence of Parvo that may very well be what you are dealing with.
Call the vets in your area, see if they can point you in the directions of agencies that may be able to help you.
But you NEED to get her in to be looked at by a vet.

Why did you get a puppy when you know you don't have the money to even vaccinate it?

Well than you were wrong to take a puppy with unknown health.

Pets are expensive, especially sick ones and especially free ones.

Rehome the puppy or call a vet or watch your puppy get sicker. Choices are yours to make

You need to find a new home for this pup. Your friend thought he was doing the right thing, but I'm sorry, you don't "take good care of" your pets. Part of having a pet is having the money to care for that pet. You don't have the money. I get it, most of us are on a tight budget and vet care isn't cheap, but if you can't afford vet care then you can't afford a pet, and denying a very sick animal vet care is not "taking good care" of your pet.

Sounds like your pup has parvo. That's not a diagnosis, that's a guess, but it's a pretty educated guess. If it is parvo then the pup will die without vet care. That's the bottom line.

There's nothing you can do to fix this at home. The pup needs a vet.

    This is frustrating.

People think they are saving animals from people who cannot care for them when THEY THEMSELVES cannot care for the dog.

If you do not have the money to go to a vet clinic to at least let the doctor look at your dog, you are not caring for your animals.. you are not taking "good" care of them.. You're just lucking out on not having any sicknesses.

Go to a vet clinic, talk to them.. see what they have to offer. TELL the doctor you are on a fixed budget. They will try to help you.

If you don't try anything, than you are a bad pet owner. If you at least try to fix the issue, and fail, you at least tried and no one can fault you for that. This puppy needs medicine. There are no remedies that will cure this puppy that is free. Even at home holistic medicine will cost you a couple hundred dollars.

At 7:06pm you posted that you have an appointment tomorrow morning.

At 7:22pm you've been to the vet and have a diagnosis?

Wow, we're not that dumb. Sorry. (

So humor me. What did the "veteran" say was going on?

Actually, I screwed it up. First post was at 7:06 pm, second was at 7:20pm.

So in 14 minutes the OP went from not being able to afford a vet, to having a vet appointment tomorrow, to already having gone to the vet and having a diagnosis.

I sit in the waiting room of my vet for longer than 14 minutes.
