My period is usually very regular. Every 28 days. My breasts usually swell and become sore 2-3 days before I actually start. Also I usually cramp the day before I start. I'm now 3 days late for my period. I had none of my usual period signals. My breasts are now swollen but not really tender. I took a hpt this morning but it was negative. I have been under some stress lately but stress have NEVER affected my period before. Waiting to find out is driving me crazy. Any thoughts?

Wait a few more days and try another pregnancy test with first morning urine or wait until it arrives. It's all you can really do at this point.

It's most likely too early to test. Only a very small percentage of women get an accurate reading when their period is only three days late.

Wait another week or two and test again. If it's still negative then wait until your next period is due, test again, or see your doctor for a blood test.

3 days is really not "late" since this is the time for the period to be happening still.

Often tests will be negative for another week ( even more for a few ladies)
You need to wait at least another week, even 10 days, then do the test first thing in the morning, with the first urine of the day
