My williams propane furnace pilot light won't ignight.
I know there is gas, the line is fed from the main coming off the tank. There are no valves from the tee to the furnace, at the furnace there is a valve and it is open. I have turned the temp dial to low, turned the control knob to pilot, depressed it and lit a match at the burner end of the combustion chamber.

I have held the control knob for 10 seconds and the pilot light will not light. I have tried at least 8 times without success.

The pilot orifice could be clogged. The pilot assembly needs to be removed & cleaned.

Is this a new recently installed, or just lighting for this year ?

Does it use a thermocoupling, often these have to be replaced
