What other considerations should be considered when using aluminum service conductors, apart from tightening the screws properly and cleaning them prior to using penterox conducting paste to ensure proper conducting?

Mark,
Other things to consider would be whether the cable will be for lateral (underground) or open air (overhead).
The distance of the cable run (effects the size of the cable needed).
Who is going to install the cable, yourself or a licensed electrican?
Have you had a load calculation completed on your residence by a licensed electrician?
Mark,
After the meter do you have a main service disconnect?
If you are running from the meter directly to the panel, how far from where the conductors
"enter" the dwelling is the main panel?
My concern here is that the inspector will not allow more than a foot or two of cable to enter the dwelling before it terminates in the main overcurrent device...
