Blackhawk finance claimed I still owe them 6,297.36 I return the car back to the dealer when repairs got to high to afford I need a lawyer or file bankruptcy?

If they sold it for less than you owed, yes, you owe them the difference. An Attorney can do nothing perhaps negotiate for a lower figured.

Only an Attorney can tell you if Bankruptcy makes sense in your case or not.

You need to pay them, that is what is suppose to happen. You can not just return a car to a dealer.

It will get sold, often for much less than owed. Then repo fees, late fees and othr fees. It is very common to owe more on a car you gave back, than you did with it.

Next what is the lawyer going to do, it appears you did not deal with the car properly and should most likely owe the money.

File bankruptcy, depends on all of your debts and your income if this is only debt, not likely that you can file.
