Supposedly my friends think many boys like me , and not just any boys the most popular boys in school.But I just don't see it . We banter and joke and are comfrtable with each other ,but the girls think this is them flirting.I'm so confused.Also I can't ask them out I get to nervous and freak out going to talk to them is easier said then done

You say you have a tight relationship with this boy, what do you mean. I'm assuming you guys talk. Do you go places together? What does going out mean to you and are you allowed to date?
If you are nervous about it, maybe you don't feel comfortable enough with that person, but the only way to overcome a fear is to face it. However at 15, what is the hurry?

Having the tight relationship is we did musical together,we have a connection in similar friends & humor.Yes I'm allowed to date, I'm responsible enough wait until I know and trust the person before I do so (this is why I;ve had so little boy friends compared to other girls).Also these days is the time to experiment and see who you are and what you like, because you might not get the chance as an adult

I don't know where you get the idea that you can't experiment and see who you are and what you like as an adult.
You don't need to have a boyfriend to find out who you are. What kind of things are you talking about experimenting with?
You don't have a relationship with this boy, you are friends. That is the first step in a good relationship. This is why I say concentrate on your friendships, If there is to be a relationship, it will happen.
