I live in GA, and I have tried to gain visitation with my children through the custodial parent but she will not let me see them, My kids are now 5 and I really miss them as I haven't seen them in 2 yrs, (I was in the military for one of those yrs) regardless she still refused me visitation. I have contacted lawyers who didn't respond to my contact and I don't know what to do, this is a genuine cry for help because everyday is tough without them...

You can file without a lawyer and in most states there is normally someone with the courts to help you file. You just pay fees and pay attention.

Do I file in the city they live in?

In Georgia, all counties have a legal aid society ( in rual, sometimes it is several counties together) Depending on the work load is how much help they are.

Of course she will not work it out, thus what you should have done to start with, a court order.

In GA the normal min is every other weekend and one evening in the week. Often you can get more, seldom do you get less.

GA does not require you to be up to date in child support to get visits, but if you are too far behind in support, GA will put you in jail fairly quickly.

It will be much easier with an attorney.

Not sure what you mean , they don't respond, no they do not call you back and no they don't answer questions over the phone. You all one, go in and pay him money and he represents you. They normally do nothing till you pay them.

In the Atlanta area, there is a great one that works with fathers in East Point area.
But you can expect to pay about 3000 retainer to get started.

You file in the county ( not city) where the custody order and/or child support order is at.

1. Are you listed on birth certificate
2. if not, has paternity been determined with DNA test
3. is there a child custody order ?
4. is there a child support order ?

There isn't a child custody order but there is a support order
