2007 accord manual making a noise while accelerating
When I'm accelerating I hear a screeching noise up front. The car is lowered an inch but I don't see how that could make a difference since it only seems to make the noise while I'm in gear and accelerating. The fan belt seems to be fine.

    Thoughts from afar:

. The serpentine belt tensioner pulley bearing may be shot. If so, simply loosen the serpentine belt, remove the 15mm pulley bolt with a box-end wrench, and install a new pulley ($20).

    . Damaged wheel bearing/hub assembly.

. Damaged half-axle. Check the CV joint boots for a split and flung grease, which normally gets all over the steering knuckle.

. Worn pilot bearing, which is located in the flywheel.

. Worn clutch release bearing. Noise should become more pronounced when you shift. Bearing is active much of the time and temperature is very high.
