Pecan tree - How to kill the tap root
I have cut down my Pecan tree. I dug around the perimeter of the stump, and cut out all the roots. I cut the remaining stump off about (two) feet below ground.
The remaining stump is about 16" in diameter. How can I make sure that it will not sprout up later once I've landscaped over it.

I doubt that it will do much sprouting, but just to make sure.

Drill some 1/2 to 3/4" holes in the stump, from Home Depot, garden department, get a small package of Root Rot. Pour Root Rot in holes and then water. The Root Rot is copper sulphate and will kill any remaining roots. Speeds up decaying.
