    Complicated tax issue
I live and work in a hospital in Washington state but I am employed by an Oregon Hospital (who provides coverage in the hospital in Washington)- but I do not work in Oregon at all, just the hospital in Washington. They are trying to tell me I need to pay Oregon income tax. HELP! (Washington does not have an income tax).

If you work AND live in Washington on a permanent basis, then you are a Washington resident. Oregon has NO legal standing to tax your salary, even if the company is based in Oregon.

If you employer does not belief you, have them call the Oregon tax authorities for guidance.

Thank you so much. I will not this one rest. Having 9% taken out of a check is no small change. I appreciate your time! Have a great day!
