How do I defend my children from harassment and assault by neighborhood adults and children? Two I have had the cops sent to my home for one approaching the parents and asking them to have their children stop harassing my child and two when my mother witnessed a group of children come up to my son and slap him in his face twice. She told the child not to put their hands on her grandson and left it at that next thing I know the cops are at my door asking my son if he did anything to provoke it. So basically it was okay for him to get slapped in his face if he provoked it. Now children who have never left their front yard are coming down the street to play around my car to provoke me to say something so they can call the cops again how do I stop the harassment if the police department is on the neighbors side telling them to record my family?

SO get a camcorder and record some of this yourself too... to back you up...

Realisically this is going to continue until one of you moves... easier to do it you rent than if you own. And cll the cops on them the next time they do something...

If the cops really are on their side there isn't much you can do but move... but maybe they are just able to present evidence to support their claims which might be why the cops appear to be taking their side.

Cops are not on neighbors side, they come to investigate when they are called. Why are you not calling them first, if someone slapped my child, ( if I did not hurt them first) I would have called the police within seconds. So why are you not calling them.

If they touch you, child or car, call the police, go to the DA to press charges, Agree, put video and security cameras on the house.
