They test foe hematocrit and hemoglobin levels as wall as white blood cells and platelet levels. If the patient is a female they test for pregnancy.

They do not test for illegal drugs unless there is a concern or other signs where those will effect. But the doctor should always know about medication and drugs being taken, as it can effect other medication they use.
