Brown Discharge? First Period Or Not?
Please help me! I have light brown discharge on my undies... I have had white discharge for about a year and suddenly got light brown. I snuck into my sisters room and got a pantie liner to wear to bed and woke up the next morning with more brown discharge. Is this my first period?

Sounds like it. Make sure to speak with your mom.

    I second that.

    How old are you kiddo?

The first period, and many of the periods after that, for years, can be weird. Brown discharge usually indicates old blood. It's not a reason to be worried.

It's time to talk to mom about getting you supplies, if she hasn't already, and read up on this new chapter of your life. It's not always fun, it's often annoying, but hey, it's part of being a girl. :)

    My period...
I first had my period October the 4th to the 5th and haven't had it since. The other day I did have a like light brown line down my undies and I keep getting discharge every now and then (I used to get it everyday). I get cramps and stuff like that. What is wrong? Why haven't I had my period for 3 months?

Is there a possibility you could be pregnant? A lot of women get a brown discharge along with cramps in early pregnancy? If you are definitely not pregnant I would strongly advise you make a doctors appointment asap. It could be an infection or an sti. It's important you find out and sooner rather than later.

The first year or so your periods may be irregular or even non-existent as your body shuffles hormones around. To relieve your mind, you might want to have your mom make a doctor's appointment for you.

Alty told you back on October 5th, "The first period, and many of the periods after that, for years, can be weird. Brown discharge usually indicates old blood. It's not a reason to be worried."

It is very likely, all girls (women) go though it differently, this is something you and your mother, should be discussing.

Becky, please keep all questions on this subject in one thread. Today was the third time you have asked if this is your first period. The advice hasn't changed.

Have you talked to your mother or older sister? Have you gotten your own supplies?
