    Conception date
This might sound a really stupid question but here goes. I know it take 14 days to fall pregnant. My conception date is the 16th feb so does that mean I had to have sex 2 weeks before the 16th to become pregnant.

    Im confused.com lol please help

Conception actually means the day that you got pregnant. It is the day that you had sex and the sperm met the egg. So, if your doctor told you that your conception date is Feb 16. That is when you conceived and became pregnant. Now, understand that this is only a guess as there is no way to truly tell when in fact you got pregnant. So, count back to Feb 16, if you had sex then, that is when you conceived. If you didn't, was it a few days before that or a few days after?

The way I calculate it, going backward from November 9, 40 weeks (a full term pregnancy is 40 weeks) you conceived on or around February 2, so that would make you 5 weeks and 1 day.

The only sure way to know would be to ask your doctor though.

Well, you need to remember that a due date is not exact. Until you get an ultrasound, your due date is just an estimate. It is usually 40 weeks from the first day of your last period is how they calculate the due date.

Do you have an ultrasound scheduled yet?

Yes, please make an appointment as soon as possible. You are doing good at trying to calculate the days, but the doctor has different methods. Let's see just how good you are and see if the doc gives you the same date.;):p

Until then, eat good, get your rest, no alcohol, smoking or drugs. Plenty of healthy foods.
