My Coleman Model G8T11516UHC11A furnace fails to start. The red light comes on for a few seconds, then goes off. It does not blink. I've tried jumping the R to W terminals, with no different result. What next?

Never mind. I'm on a "parts and service" plan that is still active, so I've requested service to come in a couple of days.
Please do let us know what they find. I have worked on many, many coleman furnaces and have yet to run across this particular problem, so any updates would be much appreciated. My guess would be that the control board has failed.
As it turns out, the thermostat had a loose connection. Apparently when I jumped the R and W terminals on the furnace, I didn't wait long enough for it to start after the red light went off. But it now runs OK, although I worry a bit about the too-fancy thermostat having problems again.
Thanks for caring.
