Is my period too long? Is it real blood or period blood?

I'm really worried. My period came a month early, I only have it once in two months. I have huge cramps and tylenol doesn't work but it usually does. The color and smell are different. The color is much lighter and clear and the smell doesn't have the usual scent, it smells more like the white/transparent stuff which makes me think that my period isn't my period, it might be real blood. My period ends around 4 days and now it's been 7 days. My family says that I shouldn't go see the doctor because they can't help me. My family says that after my period ends and that there are still symptoms then I should go. Maybe it's real blood and eventually I'll loose too much blood, or that I have an illness and I'm not doing anything about it. I have no idea what is wrong with me and it's bothering me. I'm probably over reacting but there is nothing else I can do but worry and hoping everything is all right. Please help me if you can...

Let's start at the beginning. I need to know your age first. There are a bunch of us here that can help. But age is a major factor in figuring out periods. So, for the most accurate advice we need:

    Age
Birth control if you are on any and what kind
    Are you sexually active

I'm 15. I don't take birth controls or anything like that. The closes thing I ever did that was near sex was getting a finger in my vagina. Are these enough information?

Whether your family thinks you should see a doctor or not. What is important is what you think. Get this checked out by your doctor.

    Yes, that is enough information.

Now, it sounds as though your period may be regulating. It did not come a month early because most women have their periods every month. You had yours every other month until your hormones started to get to a more natural level.

The reason I asked if you were on birth control is because birth control can cause symptoms like this.

The reason I asked if you were sexually active is because it could be a symptom of some STDs.

It just sounds as though you are going to start having your period on a more regular basis now.

But I've been having my period for about 3 years now. So is it normal for it to regulate now? Thanks for the help. But the early part doesn't really worry me that much, it's the light red, clear color and the length of the cycle that bothers me the most. It's now been 8 days and it hasn't stopped and the color is still the same.

Well how long have you had your period? For me it went from 3 days to 5-7days. But I'm 12 almost 13. Your body might not be use to change quit yet. If your older then 15 then you migth have something wrong. But if you got your period when you were 12 like me then I don't think your body is use to it yet
