If it was a bank garnishment... they don't HAVE to serve you... they already have a Judgement and a writ of garnishment. Perhaps if you was a bit more specific we could give a better answer.
At some time in the past you were served with notice of a law suit for money you owed. They got a judgement. After they get a judgement, there is no notice of furter action.
So no, they don't tell you about the garnishment, if they did, you would have hidden or moved all your money
I notice you specified that you were didn't receive anything "regarding" the levy. But you wouldn't. Once they obtained a judgment, which I assume you were aware of, they can obtain and execute a garnishment or attachment without further notification.Quote:

Now you will have to prove that some of those funds belonged to other people. You will need to go back to the court that issued the writ with that proof and see if those funds can be released.
