    Please help solve
a car moves at 12m/s and coasts up a hill with a uniform acceleration of -1.6m/s^2. A. how far has it traveled after 6.0s? B.how far has it gone after 9.0s?

the initial velocity, say "u", is 12 m/s and its acceleration, say "a", is -1.6 m/s^2.
Let the time taken be t, then

    Distance traveled = ut + at^2/2

Now, you can solve both the questions.

    its exactly S = ut + (t^2)a/2
