    Dual gas tanks ford f150
My 1992 F150 conk, conk, conks when I switch to the front tank. It almost feels like there's water in the fuel. I've put heat in it, but it hasn't helped. Although sometimes it will run for about five miles then back to the conk, conk, conk!
Should I drain the tank and start over? I need help, please!

Have you figured out what is wrong yet? I have a 1991 f150 w/dual tanks and have what sounds like the same problem, I believe it's the fuel pump in the forward tank. After 1990 (I believe it was) they switched from one fuel pump (outside of the tank) to 2 pumps, one inside each tank. Yes the tank must be removed and the pump is not cheap. But, like everything, that's just a theory.

Could be a bad change over relay.
