I saw about 15 minutes of this film a few years ago and was intrigued. I've been trying to find it since.

It was a black and white film noir type movie. A man was being followed (chased) and found himself in a mansion with a nutty woman with a pet monkey. The monkey jumped on the man and that's about where I had to leave. I thought it was Robert Mitchum or perhaps William Holden, but can't recall. Now I know William Holden was in Sunset Boulevard with Gloria Swanson and a DEAD monkey. But in this film the monkey was small and quite alive. It's been driving me nuts. Any help out there?
