I'm asking about my 17 year old daughter. She hasn't been sick in over a year. She picked up a sore throat/cold from her sister yesterday.
She says the ibuprofen makes her feel hot. Why is this. I gave her the ibuprofen because she has a fever.

I have taken it for years and years and it has never made me feel "hot" and I am not aware of anyone that has ever felt this way. Could it just be the fever she had ?
If not perhaps a allergy or reaction to the medication. Something you should discuss with her doctor. Perhaps stop use of it and use asprin till you check with doctor.
Tylenol would be a better drug than ibuprofin for a cold. AND lots of liquids.
