In my experience... usually the person is better when you first meet them and then they go downhill after they get comfortable with you. You are already having issues with him. On top of that, if you are having issues now, things are not likely to get better in the long run.

I can relate. Sometimes, the grass seems greener when you don't have an alternative. If you want to hang out with him for companionship, great, for a long term relationship, no. He will drive you crazy with his immature actions.

You went back to him because you didn't find anything else out there. Why did you think he had changed?
You should have stayed away.
When you don't like something about a person and you leave, don't go back.
