How do I get rid of an unwanted boarder (he's not really a tenant)?
My friend and her son are living with me until they can get back on their feet (hopefully the 1st of the year). Meanwhile, her second son and his 2 young children have moved in about 2 months ago and are now making trouble for me and my pets. He hasn't OVERTLY threatened me, but has called animal control on me 3 times in the past two weeks. My dogs are nervous wrecks. I suspect he is also dealing drugs but I can't prove it. He does not pay rent, doesn't help with food or utilities. Doesn't help at all. I like his children, but am afraid of him. He has blackmailed his mother before and is threatening to do the same to me. How can I get this man and his children out of my house as fast as possible. I went to the police and they say I can't do anything. What do I do? I am at my wits' end.

Sorry, boarder, tenant, doesn't not matter if they pay rent or not, esp after 2 months, if this was 2 days, it may be different.

You have to evict them, like you would any renter. ** does not matter they don't pay rent.

And I am sorry, who let him move in, why was he not thrown out the day he moved in.

You probably did not ask the police the right questions. If he has threatened you, prove it and press charges and get a restraining order.

But if you can't do that, then you have to go through the eviction process.
