We have a shallow well (32 feet I believe) with a 2 foot diameter (roughly) and an above ground pump. The problem we have is two fold. It has started losing prime frequently again (we had the same problem this time last year). Today when we reprimed the pump it would not shut off. We have water pressure but the pump simply keeps running. We can manually trip the pressure switch and it does shut off. I'm not sure what the problem is.
