Hi I'm Kalyn I have had my mirana for over 5 years now. I was supposed to have it removed two months ago that's when my five year mark for my mirana was but due to insurance I have not had it removed yet. The whole time I have had the mirana I have had a normal cycle but not this month I've seen no sign of it coming on even though I've had no other pregnancy symptoms besides my cycle being 11 days late now and I stay tired more now.I took a cheap home test and it said it was negative. I have also read on the internet after your 5 year mark with a 5 year mirana it is no longer any good. I have called and tried to get advise but can't seem to get any. Has anyone had the same issue or can give me some advise please do... Thanks

The recommendation is to replace it every 5 years because it's no longer effective.

I'd buy a reliable HPT and test again.

I called my original obgyn who put my mirana in she said there should be no logical reason for my cycle to be late besides me being pregnant but she also said sometimes while pregnant with mirana it will show negative through hpt but possitive through blood I'm making an appointment to have it taken out and get a test done...
