    Marriage on probation
I'm on probation for 3rd degree. Child abuse. I want to marry my boss who has no children. Can my PO cause problems or violate me if I do? He has a spotless record. Help!!

I could lecture all day about marry your boss, but is the boss any way connected to the crime? What are the rules of probation? Will it cause you to move out of state ?

    Hello h:

I wouldn't without telling him first... I don't know what your conditions are, but it would seem that you could marry into a family with NO children... But, it sounds like you KNOW something about your PO. Look. They can give you trouble about ANYTHING if they're pricks... Some are and some aren't.. Most are..

I'm confused - why can't you marry (your boss or anyone else) during probation? Are you on a sex offenders list? Does your husband-to-be know?

What are the exact terms of your probation?

And to Excon - does someone on probation have to get permission to marry?

    Hello Judy:

Ordinarily, no. But, different people have different conditions. And, it IS a legal procedure.
